Community Helping Place would not be able to exist without the help of our fantastic volunteers. Last year alone they logged over 10,000 hours!
Our volunteers are our family and our family always has room for more! Volunteers are needed in almost every division of our agency. Read the descriptions below to see what part of our organization would be the best fit for you.

Thrift Store:

Our thrift store is always looking for associates. The Rock House thrift store seeks folks who will help sort through donations and sellable items, price items, organize the store, and run the cash register as needed.

Food Pantry:

It takes a mighty volunteer team to operate our Food Pantry. There are a variety of volunteering opportunities available for this program. Whether serving clients on our distribution days, pre-packing our food bags, meeting with clients to fill out the required forms, or doing data entry, we can find the task that would be just right for you.

Medical Clinic:

Our medical clinic serves 1,000+ patients a year. We are currently looking for volunteers to fill the roles of professional medical providers, nurses, MA, LPN, or Phlebotomist, and Clerical work (front desk, patient intake, answering phones).

Dental Clinic:

The Dental clinic is growing! We can provide both dental hygiene and simple extractions for eligible Lumpkin County residents. Our dental clinic is currently looking for dentists, oral surgeons, dental assistants, and hygienists.
